I appreciate this sentiment "Do not follow people until you read a few of their stories and then comment on them"

I'm grateful when people follow, but so often it feels like a follow for follow strategy. I'd rather people have even the vaguest interest in what I have to say - whether that's topic specific, writing style or point of view.

What you propose is a reasonable covenant to make.
