Well said. I know we’re not supposed to become cynical to these failures - SCOTUS hearing from this week for example, or other examples of the zone being flooded. But it’s hard to see a light when people like the former guy continue to do the egregious things they say they are going to and then reap benefit from it. If you follow Sarah Kendzior, it’s difficult to see it as anything other than she explains it - complicity on both sides. This isn’t about saying both sides are the same, but watching the car crash in real time, and a media thoughtfully kicking the tyres of what an American dictatorship might be like - it’s beyond the pale.
I don’t live in America, but a lot of this seemingly acceptable conduct has a flow on effect that impacts people in other countries. American exceptionalism doesn’t exist in a vacuum.
